Supervise, plan, or organize construction efforts through in-house construction teams and contract labor for new construction, maintenance, rebuild projects, and storm restoration. Responsible for in-house productivity, safety, and quality of work within the construction department. Support hiring, training, development, production, and performance management of the in-house construction teams and contract labor.

Actively support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.

Coordinate with engineers and developers in designing the plant; draw and sketch installation and location of equipment and cable; complete bill of materials (BOM) needed for planned construction.

Monitor performance of in-house construction teams and contractors, ensuring adherence to agreements.

Perform site inspections for quality control of construction activities.

Monitor daily production, submit and review reports, and reconcile invoices with work completed.

Coordinate permitting and make-ready processes before construction begins.

Communicate updates on construction progress to management.

Review and process damage claims, updating relevant parties as needed.

Establish positive employee relations through effective communication and support.

Ensure compliance with industry-specific local, state, and federal regulations.

Follow company policies and perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English
  • Effective prioritization and organization skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervision capabilities
  • Ability to motivate others and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proficiency with personal computers and software (e.g., Word, Excel, Microsoft Office)
  • Knowledge of company products and services
  • Experience with hand tools such as drills, hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers
  • Physical ability to walk over various terrains, work in all weather conditions, and carry tools and equipment
  • Ability to safely use weight-bearing equipment and climb poles and ladders
  • Skill in measuring distances and working with small components and wires
  • Ability to operate test equipment like signal level meters and ohm meters
  • Comfort working from heights and in confined spaces
  • Proficiency in driving company vehicles and knowledge of CDL requirements
  • Understanding of system layouts from blueprints, basic mathematics, and electronics
  • Knowledge of National Electric Code, OSHA, and electrical safety standards
  • Experience with HFC/FTTH construction and architecture
