Guthrie is seeking a Supervisor, Clinical RN in the Prep/Recovery Unit in Sayre, PA. This role oversees departmental operations and supervises nursing personnel, promoting patient care and team collaboration.

The position includes leading staffing for assigned departments, ensuring patient safety, and collaborating with hospital leadership to optimize bed management and patient flow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
• Minimum of three years RN experience.
• Experience in a high acuity setting with strong clinical judgment preferred.
• Certification within area of expertise or practice preferred (Nursing Management, CCRN, CEN, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Advocate for patients and families in complex clinical situations.
• Maintain a visible presence to patients, families, and staff throughout the hospital.
• Initiate, coordinate, and oversee staffing for assigned departments.
• Lead staffing huddles with nursing leadership and make real-time staffing adjustments.
• Prioritize patient safety in all staffing decisions.
• Serve as a financial steward by identifying waste in staffing.
• Collaborate with the Pulse Center to support bed management and patient flow.
• Maintain situational awareness by rounding on unit(s) to assess operational needs.
• Facilitate timely discharges and support efficient patient throughput.
• Participate in and lead investigations of patient safety events and operational issues.
