• Supervise daily operations of the cardiac lab and lead the technical staff in performing surveillance, analysis and interpretation of heart rhythm patterns and physiological parameters inpatients and outpatients.
• Coordinate 12-lead ECG acquisition, rhythm monitoring, Holter and event monitoring, and interpretation of ECGs and related tests.
• Oversee beta testing/research activities and CV outreach program activities as part of lab operations.
• Represent the department at organizational/vendor meetings and drive integration of services into the hospital's core functions.

Job description

The supervisor is responsible for the direct supervision of the work unit operations. The supervisor oversees the technical staff's functions within the lab. This may includes continuous surveillance, analysis and interpretation of patient's heart rhythm patterns and physiological parameters (including multi-lead ECG waveforms, blood pressure, ETCO2 and continuous pulse oximetry (SPO2), for both in-patients and out-patients, at rest and/or during stress testing. Procedures for these functions may include 12-lead ECG acquisition, overview heart rhythm monitoring, holter monitoring, event monitoring; interpretation of ECGs, holters, event monitors, beta testing/research activities and CV Outreach program activities. The supervisor provides effective leadership for the day-to-day management of the work unit. The supervisor represents the department at organizational/vendor meetings and is responsible for integration of services into the organization's primary functions.
