Moreover, this position coordinates and integrates the activities of all operational systems to ensure efficiency. **CORE JOB FUNCTIONS**1. Keeps watch over facility equipment and ensures any repairs are completed in a timely fashion. 2. Maintains records associated with operating the facility, such as inventory of supplies. 3. Ensures compliance with applicable safety, health, and environmental regulations. 4. Coordinates security efforts with facility staff and external entities, such as law enforcement. 5. Develops and maintains an emergency preparedness plan to protect the facility and its occupants. 6. Seeks and proposes ways to reduce costs while improving efficiency. 7. Liaises to external contractors to ensure services provided comply with agreed terms. 8. Provides guidance, training, and oversight to facility staff. 9. Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures.
