In this role, you'll be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overall preservation of the company's buildings, grounds, and site services – including landscaping, snow removal, lawn maintenance, employee and furniture moves, painting, plumbing, and small to medium size capital renovation projects – along with other facility projects and tasks as assigned by our internal customers.WHAT YOU'LL BUILD & OWNTravel from site to site; inspect facilities, buildings, and grounds for routine maintenance and cleanliness; prioritize repairs and renovationsPrioritize and respond to facility requests; respond to inquiries in a timely and courteous manner; provide information within the area of assignment; resolve complaints in an efficient and timely mannerMonitor and maintain operation of all utility systems, including plumbing, storm drain, fire protection systems, elevators, HVAC, lighting, etc.Monitor and coordinate site janitorial servicesPlan and oversee landscaping and complete grounds maintenance activities, including maintenance of parking lots and sidewalks, lawn maintenance, and removal of snow/ice and trashMonitor and maintain site agricultural and pond services, pest control, etc.Requisition building maintenance supplies, material, and equipment; monitor inventory; load and unload supplies, materials, and equipmentCoordinate and assist with people and furniture relocations or installationsCoordinate load and delivery of tables and chairs to support special eventsScope, source, and manage renovation projects within existing facilities cohesively and efficiently by working with operations, safety, environmental, quality, accounting, sourcing, and/or any other internal and external project stakeholdersWHAT YOU BRINGAssociate's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Construction Engineering; other technical degrees may be considered with applicable experience3-5 years minimum experience in a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing and/or corporate office environmentAbility to read, interpret, and create drawings, specifications, and other information required to support design and development of construction documentation from concept through full implementation of a projectGeneral knowledge of national and local building codes, Environmental, OSHA, and/or application of codes governed by other localitiesExperience working with outside contractors, including the competitive bid process, responding to RFIs, issuing addendums, processing change orders, tracking cost, and any related tasks required by the processBasic knowledge in Architectural, Civil, Electrical, Environmental, and Mechanical engineering disciplines, given the broad nature of Facility Engineering projectsStrong skills in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and MS Project or related project management softwareExceptional organization and communication (written and verbal) skills, with the ability to work effectively independently or with others in teamsCustomer-focused mentality and demeanor; detail oriented with strong follow-upAbility to work or be on call outside normal working days/hours to support facility/plant emergencies when requiredAbility to travel locally between company facilitiesWHAT SETS YOU APARTWorking knowledge of the building process and construction principlesExperience with and managing work order systemsWHAT WE OFFERBuild A Better CareerCompetitive compensation with performance-based incentivesCareer development programs and internal promotion pathways—we build from withinTuition reimbursement and continuous learning opportunitiesBuild A Better FutureComprehensive health, dental, and vision coverageRetirement savings plan (401K) with company matchCompany-paid short-term disability and life insuranceBuild A Better YouPaid time off, holidays, and flexible work arrangements where applicableEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) and wellness resourcesInclusive, team-oriented culture where people look out for one anotherBuild A Better WorldJoin a company whose products contribute to a safer, more sustainable built environment every day.COMPENSATIONThe base salary range for this position will be determined based on experience, qualifications, skills, and geographic location.
