Job description

Under the direction of the Billing Manager, the Billing Supervisor is responsible for maintaining an efficient daily operational workflow with the patient related billing for all payer types. Provides administrative support to Department Manager, assists in trend analysis, problem identification and resolutions.

Annual Salary Range: $53,996.80 - $79,643.20

Qualifications

Education:

Requires a high school diploma or GED. Prefer an Associate's degree in a related field.

Experience:

Must have a minimum of three (3) years' of progressively responsible billing and/or collection of medical claims experience that demonstrates a strong understanding of the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Prefer one to three (1-3) years experience in billing and/or collection experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Must have the ability to supervise and coordinate the work of subordinate personnel in a manner conducive to full performance and high morale.

Must be approachable, people oriented, and a good listener.

Must be able to communicate effectively and have excellent customer service skills.

Must be a change agent able to develop, implement and maintain policies and processes.

Requires the ability to be a creative, independent thinker.

Must exhibit a high degree of professionalism, customer service, and enthusiasm.

Must possess solid analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be computer literate (Word and Excel).

Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.

Must have the ability to handle multiple complex projects.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management skills, mentoring and leadership skills are required.

Must have the ability to demonstrate competency in all aspects of billing/collecting rules and regulations for all payers in order to direct, plan, schedule and organize work.

Requires the ability to work independently on established policies and procedures within the department.
