Job summary

Centuri is seeking an Accounting Services Supervisor to oversee organizational, training, and planning of work related to human resources and accounting items. You will ensure documents/data are accurate, update systems, and generate various accounting and administrative reports.

The role includes leading accounting functions, supporting revenue recognition, and providing timely financial reports to leadership, while coordinating HR activities and ensuring policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 5+ years of accounting and administration experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support to administrative and operational management and staff.
• Coordinate company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Provide accounting support for revenue, payroll, AR/AP, and job costing.
• Produce weekly and monthly financial reports for leadership.
• Lead in new hire training and HR functions for the area.
• Back up to Accounting Services Manager as needed.

As an Accounting Services Supervisor, you will oversee the organization, training and planning of work related to both human resources and accounting items. You will be responsible to ensure documents/data are accurate and correctly processed, updating systems and producing various accounting and administrative reports.

What You'll Do

• Provide leadership and support to administrative and operational management and staff
• Coordinate, perform, and promote company policies, procedures, and internal controls as well as area specific procedures
• Provide in-depth accounting support of all accounting functions: accounts receivable, payroll, accounts payable, customer work management or job costing
• Ensure accurate recording and recognition of revenue
• Assist with contract bid preparations and various audit inquiries
• Understand and ensure proper execution and compliance to customer contracts
• Provide weekly and monthly financial reports to leadership
• Lead in new hire training and overall human resource functions for the area
• Verify internal consistency, completeness, and mathematical accuracy of accounting documents
• Lead in resolving unusual problems
• Act as backup to the Accounting Services Manager when needed
• Perform other responsibilities as requested by leadership

What You'll Have

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, equivalent relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of education
• 5+ years of accounting and administration experience is
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong knowledge of accounting procedures for accounts receivables, accounts payable and payroll
• Strong understanding of general accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and internal controls

Work Environment

• Work is performed in a typical indoor office environment
• Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late when necessary with little or no notice
• Must be able to read documents, use a computer, communicate verbally and in writing
• Mobility required within an office, warehouse and construction site environments
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
