Job summary

Centuri is seeking a skilled Project Cost Controller/Finance-minded professional to join our Barberton, OH office with flexible work arrangements. You will organize project costs, monitor labor and material expenses, and report revenue and change orders to leadership.

Ideal candidates have a strong accounting background, excel in Excel, and can communicate effectively across all levels, ensuring accurate, timely project financials and adherence to budget constraints.

Responsibilities

• Organize, track, and report to leadership on construction crew daily progress reports and earned revenue.
• Review project requirements, specifications, permits and drawings.
• Maintain relationships with customers and subcontractors.
• Participate in project meetings to review progress and changes to scope of work.
• Maintain costs for labor, materials, equipment and subcontractors/suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review cost of construction and keep within project limits.
• Prepare RFIs, project submittal packages, initiate change order requests and other project correspondence.
• Provide accurate project revenue streams, including extra work items, change orders, credits, procurement of material, etc.
• Perform other responsibilities as requested by leadership.

This position is based out of our Barberton, OH office, with work location flexibility available based on business needs.

What You'll Do

Work Environment

• Work is performed in a 90% office and 10% field work at warehouse and construction sites
• Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late when necessary with little or no notice
• Must be able to read documents, use a computer, communicate verbally and in writing
• Mobility required within an office, warehouse and construction site environments
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
• Some flexibility in work location may be available based on business needs and role requirements.
