Benefits to you We pay 95% to 99% of medical insurance premiums for full-time employees, including mental health coverage. The hourly equivalent for this position is $44.79 - $69.48, and the annual salary for this position is $93,160 - $144,513. 10 paid holidays, 2 floating holidays, 3 personal business days, separate sick and vacation paid leaves (prorated for part-time employees), and other employee benefits such as optional insurances and flexible spending plans. OJD will pay you a 5% allowance for bilingual skills (including ASL) if you can pass a skills test and are assigned to use those skills on the job! Salary offers are made with consideration of the candidate’s education and experience.
The Lane County Circuit Court, in Eugene, Oregon is hiring a Pretrial Services Supervisor (Supervisor 3). In this role… You will direct the work of the Pretrial Services unit, and will help plan and administer pretrial services, generally. Supervising and training will be an important part of your workload; you will assign, monitor, review, and evaluate the work of subordinate employees for quality standards and provide guidance and leadership. You will also oversee hiring for your work unit, which includes identifying needed skills within the unit, recruiting and interviewing quality candidates, and making recommendations for hiring.
You will oversee daily operation of departmental work tasks; gauge, assign, and coordinate work and staff resources to achieve efficiency and effectiveness. You will attend management team and other meetings regarding the development and updating of local pretrial service processes, procedures, policy, systems and organization resulting from legislative and budgetary changes, or other local justice system changes and initiatives. You will use initiative and resourcefulness to provide input in developing short- and long-term goals for Lane County Circuit Court and implement training/cross-training programs for staff. Assigned tasks may be changed to accommodate workload and organizational needs.
Minimum Qualifications (These must be evident in your resume or work history.) The qualified candidate must have an Associate’s degree in business, management, or a related field. AND At least five (5) years of progressively responsible supervisor or staff-supported experience. Qualifying OJD experience would be at the equivalent of Court Operations Associate or above. NOTE: Your recent experience must reflect staff support or supervisor, directly or through lead workers, staff performing a wide variety of clerical, analytical, and technical support duties. The supervisor experience must include most, or all, of the following:
OR Any combination of education and experience equivalent to seven (7) years of experience that typically supports the knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position. NOTE: A bachelor’s degree in court administration, management, business or public administration, or a closely related field may be substituted for up to four (4) years of the required experience.
The qualified candidate must have Law Enforcement Data Systems (LEDS) certification or have the ability to obtain certification within six (6) months of hire. Eligibility requirements for obtaining LEDS certification are available here.
This is a full-time position, and the work schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. This position is FLSA Exempt and is not eligible for overtime compensation for hours worked in excess of 40 per work week. Occasional after-hours work may be required as the office operates from 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., Monday through Sunday. Work is performed in the Lane County Jail. This position works directly with external law enforcement agencies and staff. Frequent phone and in-person contact with people from diverse backgrounds. Frequent phone and in-person contact with people who may be facing challenging life circumstances, highly stressful situations, or trauma. This position interacts with people charged with violent/sexual offenses. Tolerance to the stress associated with working with hostile or abusive people is required. Ability to work alone, within a group, and with/without direct supervision. Long periods of sitting may be required due to the high volume of work. The following equipment may be used: audio/video equipment, telephone, OJD-assigned computer with multiple monitors, photocopier, and office equipment. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
