The Charles Stark Draper Laboratory, Inc. in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Supervisor of Instrument Technicians to lead a team of skilled assemblers focused on precision mechanical assemblies, electro‑optic components, and fiber‑optic sensor integration.
You will supervise, mentor, and evaluate technicians, coordinate with engineering on design and build issues, and manage lab operations, materials planning, and training to ensure quality and on‑time delivery for complex assemblies.
The Supervisor (of Instrument Technicians) leads a team of hourly union technicians specializing in precision mechanical instrument assemblies, electro-optic components and fiber optic sensor integration. The Supervisor works closely with both technical staff and technicians, serving as a bridge to translate staff needs to work plans. The supervisor delegates work assignments, performs performance evaluations, and develops and mentors’ assembly technicians.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $100,000.00 - $275,000.00
