Job summary

OmniSource, a subsidiary of Steel Dynamics, Inc., seeks a hands-on Supervisor to lead and develop the department, drive productivity, and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance on the plant floor.

You will coach and train staff, monitor daily tasks, and coordinate with maintenance and production teams to meet performance goals. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential in a fast-paced industrial setting. Experience with safety programs and personnel matters is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year supervisory or lead experience in an industrial setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50lbs or more.

The Supervisor is responsible for leading and directing employees within the department to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations. This role focuses on driving productivity, maintaining material quality, and supporting daily operational goals while ensuring adherence to company policies, safety standards, and environmental regulations. The Supervisor will coach, train, and develop team members, address performance and personnel matters as they arise, and monitor key processes to support overall plant performance.
