Job summary

CKM INDUSTRIES INC in Sulphur, LA is seeking an experienced technician for hydroblasting, tank cleaning, and related tasks. This role involves operating and troubleshooting hydroblasting, vacuum truck, and tank cleaning equipment, and coordinating with Site Managers.

Level: Experienced

Location: Sulphur, LA 70665

Primary Responsibilities and Key Deliverables

• Hydroblasting, Tank Cleaning, and Pressure Washing as needed.
• Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form.
• Show proficiency in operating and troubleshooting Hydroblasting, Vacuum Truck, and Tank cleaning equipment.
• Communicate with customers and Site Managers.
• Run multiple crews when required.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Familiarity with hydroblasting equipment and high‑pressure systems.
• Dependability and willingness to work additional hours as required.
• Team orientation.
• Ability to perform duties in accordance with training and standard operating procedures.
• Ability to work safely in and around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous and industrial settings.

Qualifications

• Acceptable MVR/Background Check and pass pre‑employment screenings.
• Previous waste handling experience, preferably in an industrial setting.
• Refinery experience.
• Valid TWIC Card.

Work Environment

Tools, equipment, machinery used: Hydroblasting, Vacuum Truck, and Tank cleaning equipment.

Working conditions: Exposed to all weather conditions; work on various structures and surfaces both at ground and elevated levels up to and possibly exceeding 150 ft; work in confined spaces; work a 12‑hour shift with 30‑minute lunch breaks; overtime and emergency callouts as required; work days, nights, and weekends; travel to customer and other Miller sites as needed.

Physical effort required: Handling tools, materials, and equipment weighing up to 150 lbs.; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.; must be able to sit, stand, walk, crawl, bend, squat, and kneel; must be capable of climbing towers, vessels, and tanks.
