Job summary

CKM INDUSTRIES INC is seeking experienced technicians for hydroblasting and tank cleaning in Prairieville, LA. Responsibilities include operating hydroblasting and vacuum truck equipment, handling pressure washing duties, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.

The ideal candidate must have a valid TWIC card and previous experience in waste handling, preferably in a refinery setting. Candidates will handle heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions, often at heights and in confined spaces.

Primary Responsibilities and Key Deliverables

• Hydroblasting, Tank Cleaning, and Pressure Washing as needed.
• Technicians must learn & Operate Automated & Manual Hydro Blast tooling safely and efficiently.
• Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form.
• Show proficiency in operating and troubleshooting Hydroblasting, Vacuum Truck, and Tank cleaning equipment.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Familiarity with hydroblasting equipment and high-pressure systems.
• Must be dependable, willing to work additional hours as required and be team oriented.
• Ability to perform duties in accordance with training and standard operating procedures.
• Ability to work safely in and around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous and industrial settings.

QualificationsMinimum Education and Experience

Work Environment

Tools, equipment, machinery used: Hydroblasting, Vacuum Truck, and Tank cleaning equipment.

Working conditions: Will be exposed to all weather conditions. Work on various structures and surfaces both at ground and elevated levels up to and possibly exceeding 150 ft. Work in confined spaces. Work a 12-hour shift with 30-minute lunch breaks. If requested, work overtime, and respond to emergency callouts whenever they occur. Work days, nights, and weekends. Travel to customers and other Miller sites as needed.

Physical effort required: Handling tools, materials, and equipment weighing up to 150 lbs. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, crawl, bend, squat, and kneel. Must be capable of climbing towers/vessels/tanks.
