Job summary

CKM Industries Inc. is seeking an experienced technician in Sulphur, LA to perform hydroblasting, tank cleaning, and pressure washing as needed. You will learn and operate automated and manual hydro blast tooling safely and efficiently.

Candidates should be dependable, able to work overtime, and comfortable in heavy industrial environments. You must meet pre-employment screenings, possess a TWIC card, and have refinery or waste handling experience as noted in the requirements.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment screenings (MVR/background).
• Waste handling experience preferred in industrial settings.
• Refinery experience considered an asset.
• Valid TWIC Card required.

Job Details Level: Experienced Job Location: Sulphur - Sulphur, LA 70665

Primary Responsibilities and Key Deliverables

• Hydroblasting, Tank Cleaning, and Pressure Washing as needed.
• Technicians must learn & Operate Automated & Manual Hydro Blast tooling safely and efficiently.
• Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form. Show proficiency in operating and troubleshooting Hydroblasting, Vacuum Truck, and Tank cleaning equipment.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Familiarity with hydroblasting equipment and high-pressure systems.
• Must be dependable, willing to work additional hours as required and be team oriented.
• Ability to perform duties in accordance with training and standard operating procedures.
• Ability to work safely in and around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous and industrial settings.

Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience

• Acceptable MVR/Background Check and pass pre-employment screenings.
• Previous waste handling experience, preferably in an industrial setting.
• Refinery experience.
• Valid TWIC Card.

Work Environment

• Tools, equipment, machinery used: Hydroblasting, Vacuum Truck, and Tank cleaning equipment.
• Working conditions: Will be exposed to all weather conditions. Work on various structures and surfaces both at ground and elevated levels up to and possibly exceeding 150 ft. Work in confined spaces. Work a 12-hour shift with 30-minute lunch breaks. If requested, work overtime, and respond to emergency callouts whenever they occur. Work days, nights, and weekends. Travel to customers and other Miller sites as needed.
• Physical effort required: Handling tools, materials, and equipment weighing up to 150 lbs. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, crawl, bend, squat, and kneel. Must be capable of climbing towers/vessels/tanks.
