OUR STORY

Since 1979, Little Italy Ristorante has been more than a pizza place—it’s been a cornerstone of Groveport, built on family, integrity, and community. What began as a local grocery store became a gathering place where scratch-made recipes, familiar faces, and genuine care came together. Passed down through generations, our mission has always been the same: hire great people, serve unforgettable food, and give back to the community that made us who we are.

IS THIS ROLE FOR YOU?
  • Do you bring calm confidence and high energy to fast-paced events?
  • Can you coach a team, run a tight operation, and create memorable experiences in a mobile setting?
  • Are you excited by the idea of being the face of Little Italy out in the community—at weddings, festivals, and private events?
  • If so, you might be the next Food Truck Lead.
WHY JOIN LITTLE ITALY?

The Food Truck Lead is more than just a food truck driver—you’re a brand ambassador, logistics master, and team motivator. You’ll manage on-site service from start to finish and help scale our presence beyond the four walls of the restaurant.

What Makes Us Different:
  • Legacy-Driven, Future-Focused – Honoring our roots while building something worth owning—for guests and team alike.
  • We’re Bigger Than a Booth – Community events, media moments, food truck experiences—our brand lives beyond the dining room.
  • People First, Always – We grow team members into leaders and treat every shift as a chance to build careers, not just paychecks.
Benefits:
  • 401(k) with 50% employer match up to 6% (after one year)
  • New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, (paid) & your birthday off, automatically
  • 1 week of paid time off
  • Paid Sick Leave
  • As a company, we run on EOS—so we’re a collaborative, strategic, and winning team (i.e. no more meetings that just waste your time—promise!)
  • Flexible days off, typically back-to-back
  • Daily employee meal
  • 25% employee discount for you and your party
  • Leadership coaching and career growth opportunities
  • The opportunity to grow quickly with a forward-thinking company that regularly reinvests in itself and its people
  • Access to lots of company-paid business coaching and resources
  • Attendance at fun, “State of the Company” events three times a year
WHAT YOU’LL DO
  1. LMA - Lead Like a Pro Own the success of each event from load-in to breakdown. Deliver exceptional guest experiences with precision and charm. Solve problems quickly and keep the energy positive and professional.
  2. Coach and Guide the Team Train new staff, delegate tasks clearly, and uphold service standards. Keep the vibe high and the workflow tight—even in chaotic environments. Lead by example in every moment—from prep to guest interaction.
  3. Execute with Operational Excellence Maintain food quality, sanitation, truck cleanliness, and safety at all times. Manage checklists, pack-outs, truck readiness, and team assignments. Follow all safety regulations and local guidelines without cutting corners.
  4. Master the Logistics Coordinate with the Director of Catering & Events and Kitchen Manager to prepare for events. Track supply levels and restock items based on frequency and need. Ensure smooth transportation, load-up, and timely arrival on site.
  5. Represent the Brand Be the friendly, confident presence that guests remember. Handle guest concerns quickly and with care. Uphold Little Italy’s reputation as a professional, high-quality operation—on wheels.
  6. Safety Enforce food safety and hygiene protocols, ensuring compliance.
  7. Maintenance Ensure the food truck and equipment are in good working condition.
WILL YOU FIT IN HERE?

We’re not building a team—we’re building a legacy. Our restaurants run on values, not vibes—and if you don’t live these values, you won’t last long. These aren’t just words we shout in a huddle. They’re who we are, what we expect, and how we lead.

  • You’re Built to Serve. You find joy in helping people. Whether it’s a guest, a coworker, or a stranger—we don’t walk past problems, we solve them with heart. If the words “That’s not my job” live rent-free in your brain, this ain’t it.
  • You Care Like It’s Yours. You treat the business, the space, the product, and the people like you own it. Details matter. You don’t walk over a mess, you clean it. You don’t ignore a bad guest experience, you fix it. That’s ownership.
  • You’re All-In. You show up on time, you show up with energy, and you don’t half-ass the mission. You take feedback, push yourself, and do things the right way, even when no one’s watching. Especially then.
  • You Stay Open. Egos get checked at the door. You’re coachable, curious, and willing to learn from anyone. You don’t need to be the loudest, just the most growth-minded.
  • You Bring the Fire. You show up with positive energy, team spirit, and enthusiasm. Guests feel it. The team feeds off it. We don’t do dull here—we bring the vibe every shift.

And if that’s not you? If you’re just looking for a clock‑in‑and‑coast gig, or if you like drama, excuses, or hiding behind “that’s how I’ve always done it”—this won’t feel good. And that’s fine. We’re not for everyone. But if you’re about getting better, serving hard, and building something bigger than yourself—then welcome home.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • 1+ year in food service, catering, or event leadership preferred but not required
  • Clean driving record and valid license (commercial license a plus but not required)
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work long shifts on your feet
  • Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings
  • Comfort with POS systems, event planning tools, and basic inventory
  • Positive leadership, strong communication, and a solution-first mindset
