Job summary

Comprehensive Logistics is seeking a Materials Supervisor in Dearborn, MI to oversee shipping, inventory and receiving systems while ensuring safety and compliance.

Candidates should have 3+ years in materials/logistics in a warehouse, 2+ years leading hourly staff, and the ability to train others. Strong communication, organization and analytical skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of materials and logistics experience in a warehouse environment.
• 2+ years leading hourly personnel.
• Forklift certification preferred or required.
• Ability to train others on processes and procedures.
• Self-starter with proactive mindset.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manages the shipping, inventory and/or receiving systems while upholding safety, health, and environmental policies in the warehouse.
• 3+ years' supervisory experience with third party services including sequencing, kitting, repack, deconsolidation, and bulk and small lot metering.
• Coordinates activities with other departments and implements programs to ensure plant cleanliness.
• Assists leadership with planning and implementing plant improvements and expansions.
• Coordinates and monitors contents of shipments arriving and leaving Comprehensive Logistics.
• Plans, assigns, and directs the work of hourly team members.
• Rewards, provides corrective action, addresses complaints, and resolves problems.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manages the shipping, inventory and/or receiving systems as well as maintains the safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures in the warehouse.
• 3+ years' supervisory experience with a proficiency in third party services including sequencing, kitting, repack, deconsolidation, and bulk and small lot metering.
• Coordinates activities with other departments and implement programs and procedures required to ensure plant cleanliness.
• Assists leadership with planning and implementing plant improvements and expansions.
• Coordinates and monitors the contents of shipments that arrive and leave Comprehensive Logistics.
• Plans, assigns, and directs the work of hourly team members.

• Ability to be certified to drive a forklift.

• Must be a self-starter.
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skill.
• Must have excellent organizational and analytical skills.
