Job summary

TRIGO Global Quality Solutions seeks a first shift Supervisor in Decatur, IL. The role focuses on training, developing, and motivating team members to meet production goals and improve skills while ensuring quality and efficient material flow.

The Supervisor may travel as needed and reports to Site Manager/Area Manager. This position emphasizes hands-on oversight, customer interaction, and mentoring staff to sustain high standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Supervisory work experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel on a flexible schedule as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the planning and execution of daily activities including current operations, customer requests and new projects.
  • Maintain required productivity and quality levels, implementing improvements when possible.
  • Ensure the techniques for determining non-conforming product are accurate, meeting customer requirements and maintaining proper material flow.
  • Assign daily workloads to ensure the work is completed in a timely manner.
  • Interface with the customer in a professional manner and implement customer feedback into daily operations.
  • Provide on-the-job training when needed, mentor and supervise workers.

Job description

TRIGO Global Quality Solutions is seeking to fill a current first shift Supervisor opening within our Decatur, IL team. The estimated hourly pay rate for this non-exempt position is $25.00 per hour.

Overall Purpose

The Supervisor trains, develops, and motivates work group members to achieve required production results, improve each individual group member's technical skills and abilities, and promote teamwork while satisfying the company's goals and needs in an effective manner. Ability to travel on a flexible schedule as needed with variable lengths of time and distances.

Reports To

Site Manager, Area Manager, Director of Operations, General Manager

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the planning and execution of daily activities including current operations, customer requests and new projects
  • Maintain required productivity and quality levels, implementing improvements when possible
  • Ensure the techniques for determining non-conforming product are accurate, meeting customer requirements and maintaining proper material flow
  • Assign daily workloads to ensure the work is completed in a timely manner
  • Maintain company policies and procedures in accordance with directives from management
  • Interface with the customer in a professional manner and implement customer feedback into daily operations
  • Communicate inspection status and requirements to customers and employees
  • Ensure the techniques for determining non-conforming product are accurate and repeatable
  • Maintain company databases by adding new part procedures and editing existing procedures
  • Provide on-the-job training when needed, mentor and supervise workers
  • Complete other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned

  • Proficient in performing inspection activities and competent to perform all line job functions as needed to assist in meeting production scheduling and customer requirements
  • Demonstrated knowledge of visual and mechanical inspection techniques and processes
  • Demonstrated proficiency in verbal and written communications
  • Operating level proficiency using MS Office Suite application programs
  • Demonstrated proficiency interfacing with various levels of staff and management, while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Comprehension level knowledge and demonstrated ability to interpret engineering drawings
  • Operating level proficiency in using MS Office Suite application programs
  • Comprehension level of FIFO material flow applications
  • Comprehension level knowledge of Zero Defects and similar quality practices
