Nixon Forensic Center
Hours of work are 8:00am-4:30pm and days off are Sunday and Monday (with expectations of being available as needed).

The Fulton State Hospital Administration is seeking an individual to fill the position of Assistant Director of Security (SPV SSCA) in the Nixon Forensic Center. This is a highly responsible position requiring a good degree of knowledge and expertise to ensure the safety and security of a high security mental health complex. Strong supervision skills are also paramount. Applicants must demonstrate outstanding critical thinking and interpersonal skills and have a strong record of adherence to FSH policies and practices. This individual will need to have the ability to be pro-active in improving security and safety practices in the complex/campus and be able to work effectively as a key member of the Fulton State Hospital Leadership team. Those applying should have a favorable time and attendance record and be seen as a positive role model for their co-workers and clients they serve. Reflecting the mission/vision/values of FSH. This individual must have a valid driver’s license and have no record of misconduct violations or illegal activities. Some of the expectations include a knowledge of security systems for surveillance, audio/visual, biometric locks, etc. Ability to train on identified electronic security equipment.
Two or more years of experience as a Senior Security Support Care Assistant (Psychiatric) with the Missouri Uniform Classification and Pay System; and possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency.
OR
Two or more years of experience as a lead worker providing direct care to forensic psychiatric or sex offender clients in a maximum or intermediate security area within a mental health facility; and possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency.
(Earned credit hours from an accredited college or university may substitute for the stated experience on a year-for-year basis for a maximum of two years of the stated experience at a rate of 30 earned credit hours for one year.)
