Rendr Medical Imaging in Brooklyn, NY is seeking an internal provider (MD/DO, PA, or NP) to serve as the On-Site Supervising Provider for contrast-enhanced MRI and CT procedures. This PRN, on-site role requires weekend shifts ( Saturdays and/or Sundays) with a minimum of one shift per month.

The successful candidate will ensure regulatory compliance and patient safety by maintaining a qualified medical presence on-site.

Formación

• Active, unrestricted NY license required.
• DEA and BLS/ACLS certification required.
• Previous Radiology experience preferred.
• CCTA experience is a plus but not required.
• Bilingual English/Mandarin preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Remain physically present inside imaging facility while scans are performed.
• Provide on-site evaluation and intervention for adverse contrast reactions.
• Administer emergency medications and activate 911 if needed.
• Review patient histories and perform exams; request additional tests if necessary.
• Collaborate with radiologists and technologists to implement patient care plans.
• Document findings and update electronic health records.
• Initiate and maintain peripheral IV lines.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

Role Title: Supervising Provider (MRI or CT Contrast Coverage)

Department: Radiology

Position Type: Internal Shift / Additional Hours (PRN)

Reporting To: Dr. Anand Patel, Medical Director of Radiology for Radiology

Location: Rendr Medical Imaging. 758 61st Street, Brooklyn, NY 11220 (On-Site)

Salary Range: $70-$75/hr.

Shift Blocks: Must be able to commit to regularly scheduled full-day shifts on Saturdays and/or Sundays, with a minimum requirement of one shift per month.

Position Summary: We are seeking internal Physicians, PAs, or NPs interested in picking up additional shifts to serve as the On-Site Supervising Provider for contrast-enhanced MRI examinations and CT scans. The primary purpose of this shift is to fulfill regulatory compliance (ACR and CMS guidelines) by providing a qualified physical medical presence on-site. The supervising provider must be on-site and immediately available to recognize and manage acute contrast media reactions, ensuring patient safety.

This is an excellent opportunity for providers looking for low-intensity, flexible hours. You are welcome and encouraged to complete your own administrative work or charting during this shift, provided you remain on the premises and monitoring of patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Physical Presence: Must Remain physically present within the imaging facility at all times while scans are actively being performed.
• Emergency Response: Provide immediate, on-site evaluation and intervention in the rare event of an adverse contrast media reaction or medical emergency.
• Reaction Management: Administer emergency medications (e.g., IV epinephrine, antihistamines) and activate the emergency response system (911) if a severe anaphylactic or hypersensitivity reaction occurs.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients undergoing radiologic procedures, including reviewing medical histories, performing physical examinations, and requesting additional diagnostic tests when necessary.
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, document all findings and updating electronic health records accurately and promptly.
• Skilled in initiating and maintaining peripheral IV lines while ensuring patient comfort and infection control.
• Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards of practice.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Eligible Providers: Rendr on-staff Physicians, Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants in good standing.
• Must hold an active, unrestricted license within NY state.
• DEA and BLS/ACLS certification required.
• Previous experience in Radiology preferred.
• CCTA experience is a plus not required.
• Familiarity with standard ACR (American College of Radiology) contrast reaction management guidelines (brief internal review/orientation will be provided).
• Bilingual English/Mandarin preferred.
