Job summary

The Wake County Legal Support Center and Legal Hand seek a Supervising Attorney to lead daily operations, supervise staff, and coordinate services across programs. The role involves overseeing the Call-In Center, managing partnerships, and reporting outcomes to funders.

Based in Raleigh at the Wake County Courthouse, the position offers a salary of $90,000–$100,000 with NC state benefits and some remote work, Monday through Friday with occasional evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with an active North Carolina bar license.
• At least 2–3 years of direct supervisory experience managing staff (not solely volunteers).
• Ability to work some evening and weekend hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise WCLSC staff and the LH Center Manager.
• Oversee daily operations for WCLSC and the LH Call-In Center, providing backup and support as needed.
• Identify unmet legal needs and develop strategies to address them across both programs.
• Track program outcomes and report data to inform strategy and support funders and stakeholders.
• Manage the program budget and support grant applications and reporting.
