What You’ll Do

• Troubleshoot, service, and repair supermarket refrigeration equipment, including parallel rack systems, refrigerated cases, walk‑in coolers, and freezers.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and control issues and make effective repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance to improve reliability and catch problems before they become emergency calls.
• Troubleshoot compressors, evaporators, condensers, valves, defrost systems, and refrigeration controls.
• Read wiring diagrams and schematics to identify problems and determine the next steps.
• Communicate clearly with store managers about equipment issues, repairs, and follow‑up needs.
• Complete accurate service records, including work performed, parts used, and refrigerant handling.
• Follow safety procedures and applicable refrigerant handling requirements.
