Base pay range

$42,000.00/yr - $43,908.00/yr

Position: Supermarket Team Leader / Seafood

Salary: $42,000 - $43,908 per year plus performance-based bonus

Hours: 40 hours per week, with opportunities for overtime. Great benefits included.

Position Summary

Responsible for receiving products, ensuring aisles, freezers, and refrigerators are stocked, labeled, clean, and that delivered products are packed out. Provide proper customer service.

Essential Functions
  1. Ensure proper customer service and develop relationships with large customers.
  2. Supervise all activities in the meat department, including product placement, rotation, signage, displays, and department appearance. Maintain records as required. Oversee Assistant Meat Manager, Meat Supervisors, and Stockers to ensure operations adhere to company standards.
  3. Develop schedules, monitor performance, and recommend appropriate discipline.
  4. Train employees in job responsibilities and safety procedures.
  5. Interview candidates and recommend hires.
  6. Discipline employees when necessary and recommend terminations.
  7. Ensure employees conduct inspections to meet HACCP regulations and perform periodic HACCP audits.
  8. Review inventory daily to prevent shrinkage and damages.
  9. Ensure shelf pricing is accurate and reflects current market conditions.
  10. Supervise receiving of all meat products and complete proper paperwork.
  11. Maintain accurate inventory levels through regular physical inventories and adjustments.
  12. Maintain refrigerated equipment and follow maintenance schedules and contracts.
  13. Order meat products from vendors regularly to ensure competitive pricing and minimal spoilage, avoiding excess inventory.
  14. Ensure employees can operate equipment like Toledo scales and Dennison label machines.
  15. Coordinate proper storage with correct block and date tags.
  16. Maintain cleanliness through regular cleaning schedules, including scrubbing and clearing pallets.
  17. Stack excess inventory in overhead racks or in freezers/refrigerators near sales areas.
  18. Ensure trash is removed properly and floors are clean.
  19. Communicate low stock/out of stock issues to Inventory Control after checking systems and racks.
  20. Verify signage and pricing are correct and up-to-date.
  21. Coordinate aisle merchandising for logical flow, space allocation, and impulse areas.
  22. Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
  23. Conduct weekly self-audits of the meat department.
