Job summary

Reeves Young in Rock Hill, SC seeks a full-time Construction Manager to supervise field teams, coordinate subcontractors, and drive safety and schedule adherence on projects.

You will manage daily progress reporting, permits and inspections, and maintain site safety plans while partnering with stakeholders. Strong reading of drawings and proficiency in Outlook/Word/Adobe/Viewpoint are expected.

Qualifications

• Read and understand project drawings, specs, RFIs and subcontracts.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools and Viewpoint Field Work Center.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for several hours.
• Water/Wastewater project experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate field crews, subcontractors, and vendors to keep the project on schedule.
• Maintain daily progress reports, payroll, and site documentation.
• Manage permits and inspections, ensuring timely corrections of deviations.
• Champion Reeves Young brand and enforce safety plans on site.
• Develop site safety plans and ensure team understands and executes them.
• Support opportunities for ongoing education and career growth.
• Monitor safety reporting and enforce safety training across partners.

What Can You Expect

• Supervise and coordinate activities of field employees, subcontractors and material vendors to expedite the project schedule.
• Maintain daily detailed progress reporting and paperwork such as daily reports including pictures of work progress, payroll and equipment time reporting for crew (if required), field reports, schedule updates and email correspondence to keep the various people involved with the project informed of important issues.
• Manage the permit and inspection process to ensure all required inspections are conducted timely and efficiently. This include maintaining and/or ensuring any deviations are corrected.
• Championing and protecting the brand of a rapidly growing Company
• Assemble site specific safety plans and ensure the entire project team understands the plan to ensure execution of said plan.

• Manage all daily, weekly, and monthly safety reporting as required. This includes holding trade partners accountable for conducting and enforcing safety training and plans.

What You Bring to the Table

• Must possess the ability to read and understand project documents, e.g., drawings, specifications, RFI’s, submittals, subcontracts, and the owner agreement terms and conditions specific to your role.
• Must possess working knowledge of or demonstrate willingness to learn how to use the following software applications: MS Outlook, Word, Adobe Reader and Viewpoint Field Work Center.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for 4-hour periods of time.
• May require performing general physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling of materials.
• Must have Water/Waste Water experience.
