Job summary

Ralph L. Wadsworth Construction in Idaho seeks an experienced site supervisor to lead underground utilities projects and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence on major infrastructure builds.

You will read blueprints, manage field crews, coordinate inspections and material orders, and communicate with stakeholders to deliver complex underground utility work on time and within budget. Candidates should bring at least five years of relevant experience, OSHA 30, and a proven record of

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in underground utilities.
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience and understanding of all phases of site development (dirt excavation, underground utilities, grading).
  • Minimum 5 years of reading blueprints and specs for underground utilities.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in water, sanitary sewer, and storm distribution systems.
  • OSHA 30; mission-critical and data center work are preferred but not required.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills essential for managing teams and interacting with stakeholders and trade partners.

Responsibilities

  • Understand, enforce, and carry out safety policies.
  • Create job hazard analysis for assigned tasks and perform safety inspections.
  • Schedule and document all required inspections, quality testing, or other compliance requirements.
  • Comply with dust control, SWPPP, and environmental requirements.
  • Schedule and order materials, inspections, equipment, and workforce to meet project schedules, production, and specifications.
  • Directly supervise jobsite crews to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and to adherence to construction schedules.
  • Consult with and direct personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays.
  • Manage all day‑to‑day operations on the project and keep the project management team apprised.
