Job summary

A leading construction firm in Cheyenne, Wyoming is seeking a Project Engineer to monitor project costs, manage documentation, and support the Project Manager. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management along with at least 2 years of experience in civil construction. Key Responsibilities
  • Track and manage project costs, forecasts, and reports
  • Handle RFIs, submittals, invoices, and contract documentation
  • Support procurement, scheduling, and project startup/closeout
  • Assist with safety, quality, and risk management
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors
  • Support Project Manager in day-to-day operations
Position Requirements
  • A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction management and 2+ years of experience in civil construction — or 3+ years of hands‑on experience in the field
  • Solid understanding of field operations, construction practices, and project workflows
  • Familiarity with Viewpoint and scheduling software (a plus!)
  • A strong communicator and relationship‑builder who can lead through influence, drive change, and deliver results across teams
  • Passion for building, problem‑solving, and growing a career in a fast‑paced, supportive environment
