Job summary

Ralph L. Wadsworth Construction in Oklahoma City is seeking a Superintendent to lead major heavy civil projects. You will enforce safety policies, manage inspections, and supervise crews to ensure quality and schedule adherence on highways, bridges, rails, and concrete works.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in underground and site development utilities, strong blueprint-reading skills, and capacity to coordinate diverse teams, align with project goals, and deliver safe, on-time results.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of underground utilities experience.
• Experience across site development phases, including dirt excavation, grading, and utilities.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and specifications for underground utilities.
• 5 years’ experience with water, sanitary sewer, and storm distribution systems.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Understand, enforce, and carry out Safety Policies.
• Create Job Hazard Analysis for tasks and perform safety inspections.
• Schedule and document inspections, quality testing, or other compliance requirements.
• Comply with Dust Control, SWPPP, and environmental requirements.
• Schedule and order materials, inspections, equipment and workforce to meet schedules.
• Directly supervise jobsite crews to ensure workmanship and schedules.
• Coordinate with personnel and subcontractors to prevent delays.
• Manage day-to-day operations and keep the project team informed.

Responsibilities

• Understand, enforce, and carry out Safety Policies.
• Create Job Hazard Analysis for assigned tasks and perform safety inspections.
• Schedules and documents all required inspections, quality testing, or other compliance requirements.
• Comply with Dust Control, SWPPP, and environmental requirements.
• Schedule and order materials, inspections, equipment and work force in order to meet project schedules, productions and specifications.
• Directly supervise jobsite crews to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedules.
• Confers with and directs personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays.
• Manage all day-to-day operations on the project and keep the project management team apprised.

Qualifications

Position Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of underground utilities and wet utilities (drainage, water and sewer)
• A minimum of 5 years of work experience and understanding of all phases of site development (dirt excavation work, underground utilities, grading, etc.)
• A minimum of 5 years of reading blueprints and specs for underground utilities
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Water, Sanitary Sewer and storm distribution systems
• OSHA 30, mission critical and data center work are preferred but not required.
