Job summary

Ryan Companies US, Inc. in Madison, WI seeks a Superintendent to coordinate all on-site activities, manage Ryan employees and subcontractors, and ensure completion on time and on budget.

You will enforce safety programs, train personnel, and control the project budget while collaborating with trades foremen and project management across all scopes. This role requires developing CPM schedules, assisting with procurement, and maintaining quality control, documentation, and meetings.

Qualifications

  • Post high school education or equivalent in the construction field.
  • Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
  • Documentation / file management.
  • Calm demeanor during stressful situations and ability to seek help when task exceeds skills.
  • Meeting management skills.
  • Team player with team-building skills.
  • Moderate support from Field Coordinator.
  • Ability to read blueprints and plans and give direction to project personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and track a CPM schedule.
  • Assist in development and review of the overall construction budget.
  • Assist with material procurement.
  • Establish and monitor the Quality Control program.
  • Daily documentation and file/print management.
  • Hold, prepare, and document required meetings.

Some Things You Can Expect To Do
  • Develop a site-specific safety program and administer project safety per Ryan safety policies and procedures and develop a job specific Job Safety/Hazard Analysis.
  • Manage subcontractors in the performance of their work per contract.
  • Develop and understand a CPM computer-generated schedule and be able to track that schedule.
  • Assist in the development and review of the overall construction budget and manage the project within that budget.
  • Assist with material procurement.
  • Establish and monitor the Quality Control program for the project.
  • Daily documentation and file and print management.
  • Hold, prepare, and document required meetings

Compensation

The base pay range is $130,000 - $155,000 per year. The base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission and/or an incentive program.
