Job summary

Clune Construction Company in Austin, TX is seeking a Superintendent – Tenant Improvement to lead field operations on commercial interior projects. The role requires directing daily activities, coordinating trade partners, and maintaining safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate brings 6–15 years of experience in interior/healthcare/mission-critical projects and a BS in Construction Management or related field.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering.
  • 6-15 years of experience managing commercial interior, healthcare and/or mission-critical projects.
  • Experience leading field teams and coordinating trade partners.

Responsibilities

  • Lead preconstruction planning by developing phasing plans, site logistics, work area transitions and execution strategies.
  • Direct daily field operations, coordinate trade partners, manage manpower and drive schedule performance.
  • Promote safety culture, enforce OSHA standards, and drive QA/QC to meet project requirements before inspections.
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers and inspectors for smooth field execution.
  • Lead project closeout and turnover with punch list, inspections and turnover documentation.
  • Coach Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers and trades to foster a high-performing team.
