Job summary

Clune Construction Company in Austin, TX is seeking a Project Manager for Tenant Improvement projects. The role requires 5+ years of project management experience, with 2–3 years in commercial construction, and a BS in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities include leading preconstruction budgets, developing the project execution plan, managing procurement and subcontractors, and maintaining strong owner/architect/engineer relationships to ensure

  • Bachelor-level degree preferred in Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of construction project management experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience in commercial construction preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support business development by participating in RFP responses and client presentations.
  • Lead preconstruction efforts from conceptual budgets through design development and GMP.
  • Develop and implement the project execution plan across schedules, procurement, and construction activities.
  • Oversee subcontractor procurement: bid packages, proposals, contracts, and trade partner selection.
  • Serve as primary liaison among owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners; lead meetings and communicate project status, risks, and solutions.
  • Oversee budgets, forecasting, billings, change orders, cost control, and financial health through the project lifecycle.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, document control, reporting, contract administration, and forecasting.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to schedule, cost, procurement, constructability, and contracts.
  • Lead project closeout including punch lists, turnover docs, warranties, and final financial closeout.
  • Mentor Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers to promote growth.
