Job summary

Skanska seeks a dynamic Superintendent 1 (Area) to lead field operations on an assigned project in Phoenix, AZ. The role focuses on safe, on-time, and compliant delivery while aligning with contract documents, design, budget, and schedule.

You will supervise field crews and Assistant Superintendents, manage change orders and subcontractors, and drive quality control of telecom and security installations on large-scale projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or 8 years equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of prior relevant construction experience.
  • 2+ years as a Safety and QAQC Cultural Champion.
  • 2+ years leading smaller fit-out projects or part of a larger building project.
  • 2+ years' experience with change orders and ticket management.
  • 2+ years' experience with subcontractor oversight.
  • 2+ years' experience with schedule updates and look-ahead schedules.
  • 2+ years' experience installing, integrating, and QC of telecommunications and security systems on large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees field operations in assigned areas, ensuring safe, timely, profitable execution.
  • Directly supervises field labor forces and Assistant Superintendents in accordance with contract documents.

The Superintendent 1 (Area) is responsible for field operations in assigned areas or aspects of the project. They ensures the work is performed in a safe, timely, profitable, and ethical manner, in accordance with contract documents, design, budget, and schedule. They directly supervises field labor forces and Assistant Superintendents.

Superintendent Telecom-Security Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or 8 years equivalent experience plus minimum 5 years prior relevant experience.
  • 2+ years of being a Safety and QAQC Cultural Champion
  • 2+ years Successful leadership of smaller fit out projects or an area of a larger building project
  • 2+ years' experience with change order and ticket management
  • 2+ years' experience with subcontractor oversite
  • 2+ years' experience with schedule updates and look ahead schedules.
  • 2+ years' of installation, integration, and quality control of telecommunications and security systems on large-scale, mission-critical projects such as data centers.
