Job summary

Tutor Perini Corporation is seeking a Superintendent - Station Finishes for the Newark AirTrain project. The role leads interior station finishes, coordinates tile, terrazzo, metal panels, ceilings and related architectural finishes on a major transportation infrastructure program.

Ideal candidates bring extensive superintendent experience on transit or airport projects, strong coordination with unions, and a solid grasp of plans, specifications, and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 12 years of Superintendent/supervisory experience with a General Contractor.
• Experience on transit, railroad, airport, transportation, infrastructure, or large commercial projects.
• OSHA 30 Certification.
• NYC SST Supervisor Card.
• Experience coordinating union labor and multiple subcontractors.
• Knowledge of ADA requirements and public-facing infrastructure environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all station finish activities from rough-in through final completion.
• Coordinate installation of tile, terrazzo, stone, metal panels and ceilings, drywall and painting.
• Lead subcontractor coordination meetings and daily field activities.
• Maintain project schedule milestones and implement recovery plans when required.
• Prepare daily reports documenting progress, manpower, equipment utilization, and field issues.
• Ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with contract documents.

This position provides daily field leadership for interior station construction activities, including finishes, architectural systems, specialty installations, and final turnover.
