Job summary

Tutor Perini O&G Joint Venture seeks a seasoned Superintendent for the Newark Air Train project at Newark Liberty International Airport, NJ. You will lead onsite construction oversight, coordinating scheduling, subcontractors, and site logistics to meet design, budget, and timelines.

The role requires extensive supervision experience on major civil works, familiarity with contract management, and proven communication skills.

Qualifications

• 20 years of supervisory field experience on large heavy civil infrastructure projects (≥$200M).
• ≥10 years as superintendent and/or craft supervision in new building/structure construction (piles, concrete, steel).
• Familiar with U.S. construction methods, standards and contract management.
• Experience with City/State/Federal government clients preferred.
• MS Word/Excel, Bluebeam, HCSS–Heavy bid proficiency; OSHA and First Aid certifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise construction to ensure compliance with design, budget and schedule.
• Plan, coordinate onsite functions (scheduling, subcontractor coordination).
• Ensure compliance of crafts with contract documents and efficient use of materials/equipment.
• Provide technical interpretation of drawings and construction methods as needed.
• Assist management with project schedule and site logistics; implement procedures and standards.
• Coordinate with on-site Owner personnel and support Site Safety Plan.

DESCRIPTION

As a Superintendent at Tutor Perini O&G Joint Venture., reporting to the Project Executive, you will have the opportunity to:

• Supervise construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.
• Assume responsibility for planning, coordinating and supervising onsite functions (scheduling, subcontractor coordination, etc.).
• Assume responsibility for compliance of crafts and subcontractors with contract documents, efficient use of materials & equipment, and timely performance of the project schedule.
• Provide technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc., as required.
• Assist project management in developing, project schedule, site logistics plan and implementing project procedures, working documents, standards, etc.
• Support Site Specific Safety Plan.
• Coordinate with on-site Owner employees.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.

REQUIREMENTS

20 years of supervisory field experience with large heavy civil infrastructure construction projects valued at 200 million plus. Minimum of 10 years construction superintendent and/or craft supervision experience in new building and/or structure construction including, piles, concrete and structural steel. Knowledge, skills and experience with U.S. construction methods, techniques, and standards. Highschool diploma or GED preferred but not required Experience with City, State, Federal Government Clients preferred Knowledge of contract management and familiarity with local trade/unions/craft MS Word/Excel, Procure, Bluebeam, HCSS Heavy bid OSHA certification, First Aid Certs Excellent written and verbal skills
