Job summary

The Ravin Group is seeking a Construction Superintendent in Indianapolis to manage ground-up commercial projects. The role oversees all on-site construction activities for projects ranging from the mid multi-million-dollar range and above, coordinating teams, safety, and schedules to ensure quality workmanship.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management (or equivalent) with 3+ years of commercial construction experience, or 6+ years as a Superintendent/Field lead, plus

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management preferred; 3+ years of commercial construction or 6+ years of Superintendent/Field experience without a degree.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and best practices.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
• OSHA 30 certification or other relevant certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise all construction activities and staff.
• Set up and maintain an organized and clean job site, including the construction office/trailer.
• Direct field personnel to complete the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship.
• Prepare and maintain construction schedule, identify, and solve problems that may impede schedule and/or costs.
• Order materials, manage lead times to maintain schedule, and schedule inspections as necessary throughout the process.
• Comply with the objectives of the OSHA Safety and Loss Control Program.
• Promote and ensure job site safety, encourage safe work practices, and rectify job site hazards immediately. Conduct weekly Tool Box Talks.
• Maintain weekly schedule meeting with vendors and subcontractors to project the upcoming three weeks' expectations.

Construction Superintendent

Our construction client, based in Indianapolis, is looking for Superintendent to manage ground-up commercial construction projects. One firm handles projects ranging from $3M to $15M, while the other focuses on projects $20M and above. These roles will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all on-site construction activities.

Construction Superintendent Requirements

• Bachelors degree in a construction management with 3+ years of commercial construction or related field preferred or 6+ years of Superintendent / Field experience without a degree.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and best practices.
