Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Multifamily Construction Superintendent in California to lead complex, ground-up projects with 150k–168k annual compensation. You will supervise teams, coordinate with architects and clients, and drive on-time, on-budget delivery while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of multifamily construction experience at a General Contractor.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as Superintendent supervising project teams.
• Extensive experience with 200+ unit ground-up multifamily and mixed-use projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of a construction project from planning to completion, on time and under budget.
• Ensure site safety and promote a safety-first culture.
• Plan and schedule the project for efficiency in construction.
• Provide vision, leadership, and motivation to all team members and subcontractors.
• Lead meetings with teams, subcontractors, clients, and architects.
• Understand all project documents including plans, specs, contracts, subcontracts, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Coordinate inspections with local jurisdictions, inspectors, and utilities.
• Administer the Quality Control program and ensure high-quality work.
• Maintain daily job logs, safety reports, and timekeeping.
• Conduct foreman meetings, pre-task and safety meetings, and project staff meetings.
• Collaborate with client, architect, project team, and subs to resolve issues expediently.

Job Details

• Oversee all phases of a construction project from initial planning to completion, bringing projects in on time and under budget.
• Ensure overall site safety for assigned projects, adhere to the company's safety program, and promote a safety-first culture.
• Plan and schedule the project to achieve a high degree of efficiency in construction.
• Provide vision, leadership, and motivation to all team members and subcontractors.
• Lead effective meetings with small and large groups including team members, subcontractors, clients, and architects.
• Understand all project documents including plans, specifications, contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, RFIs, submittals and change orders.
• Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions, special inspectors, and utilities.
• Administer the company's Quality Control program and ensure all work is performed to a high level of quality.
• Maintain appropriate documentation, including daily job logs, safety reports, and timekeeping.
• Conduct and/or attend Foreman meetings, pre-task meetings, safety meetings, and project staff meetings.
• Work with the client, architect, project team, and subcontractors to creatively and expediently resolve issues that arise during construction.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Multifamily construction experience at a General Contractor
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as Superintendent supervising project teams
• Extensive experience with 200+ unit ground-up multifamily and mixed-use projects (including garden walk-up developments)
• Proficiency with MS Project (or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with Procore software
