Job summary

Hausmann Construction is seeking motivated Construction Superintendents to oversee day-to-day on-site activities for diverse projects in the Norfolk market. The role requires hands-on leadership to keep work on schedule and within budget.

You will manage subcontractors, enforce safety, and ensure quality from inception through completion, partnering with project teams to solve problems and deliver high-quality results.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience as Construction Superintendent or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and building codes.
• Excellent leadership and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Proficiency in construction management software and MS Office; OSHA certification is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Site Management: Oversee all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion, including scheduling and quality control.
• Team Leadership: Manage and coordinate subcontractors, construction workers, and other personnel on-site to ensure efficient and effective workflow.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all employees and subcontractors.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that all work meets company and industry standards and specifications.
• Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues or delays that arise during construction.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar role within the construction industry with a minimum of five plus years of related experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and building codes.
• Excellent leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in construction management software, such as Procore and Microsoft Office
• Relevant certifications or licenses (e.g., OSHA) are a plus.
