Job summary

Leoforce is seeking a Superintendent to lead multi-family student housing projects based in Tampa, FL, with travel to Gainesville and other Florida sites. The role requires hands-on leadership, strong PM skills, and meticulous attention to safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years supervising multifamily or student housing builds, can coordinate multiple teams, and manage complex schedules and budgets. Per diem travel and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a Superintendent in multifamily or student housing.
• Proven track record of completing projects end-to-end.
• Strong knowledge of construction procedures and PM principles.
• Excellent safety standards and regulation knowledge.
• Leadership and ability to coordinate teams.
• Read and understand blueprints and construction docs.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Job Details

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Superintendent to oversee our Student Housing Projects. This is an outstanding opportunity for a seasoned professional to bring their expertise in student housing and assisted living construction to a growing company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with a focus on student housing and assisted living facilities. This position requires a hands- on approach, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.
PLEASE NOTE: FOR THIS PROJECT, THIS IS A TRAVELING POSITION. You will be based in Tampa and traveling to Gainesville for this project, with following projects anywhere across Florida.

Responsibilities

1. Oversee all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation.
2. Allocate resources for assigned projects.
3. Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors.
4. Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients.
5. Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications.
6. Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
7. Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
8. Effectively apply our methodology and enforce project standards.
9. Minimize our exposure and risk on a project.
10. Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
11. Track and report project costs and scheduling.
12. Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
13. Plan and schedule project timelines.
14. Constantly monitor and report on the progress of the project to all stakeholders.

Qualifications

1. 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry, with a focus on student housing and assisted living facilities.
2. Proven track record of successfully overseeing and completing construction projects from start to finish.
3. Strong understanding of construction procedures, material, and project management principles.
4. Excellent knowledge of relevant rules, regulations, quality standards, and safety standards in construction.
5. Exceptional leadership and management skills with the ability to direct and coordinate the work of others.
6. Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
7. Proficiency in construction management software.
8. A degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field is preferred.
9. Excellent problem-solving abilities.
10. Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
11. Demonstrated understanding of the technical aspects of construction, materials, and building codes.
12. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
13. Physical strength and stamina to work on construction sites in various weather conditions.
