Job summary

Ralph L. Wadsworth Construction (RLW) is seeking a Superintendent for Mass Ex/Underground Utilities in Oklahoma City. You will lead safety-focused teams across highways, bridges, rail, and structural concrete projects, driving initiatives from planning to completion.

The role demands strong leadership, strategic thinking, and excellent communication to manage large-scale underground utilities work and ensure project milestones are met within a robust compensation package.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of underground utilities experience (drainage, water, sewer).
• 5+ years of site development experience (dirt excavation, underground utilities, grading).
• 5+ years of reading blueprints and specs for underground utilities.
• 5+ years of Water, Sanitary Sewer and storm distribution systems experience.
• OSHA 30 is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Understand, enforce, and carry out Safety Policies.
• Create Job Hazard Analysis for assigned tasks and perform safety inspections.
• Schedule and documents all required inspections, quality testing, or other compliance requirements.
• Comply with Dust Control, SWPPP, and environmental requirements.
• Schedule and order materials, inspections, equipment and workforce to meet project schedules.
• Directly supervise jobsite crews to ensure workmanship conforms to specifications and construction schedules.
• Confer with and directs personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work, coordinating phases to prevent delays.
• Manage day-to-day operations on the project and keep the project management team apprised.

Position Requirements

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Strong Leadership and communication skills are also essential for managing teams and interacting with stakeholders and trade partners.

• A minimum of 5 years of underground utilities and wet utilities (drainage, water and sewer)
• A minimum of 5 years of work experience and understanding of all phases of site development (dirt excavation work, underground utilities, grading, etc.)
• A minimum of 5 years of reading blueprints and specs for underground utilities
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Water, Sanitary Sewer and storm distribution systems
• OSHA 30, mission critical and data center work are preferred but not required.
