Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial, educational, and industrial projects in Buckhannon, WV. This on-site, permanent role offers a competitive salary and full benefits.

You will develop schedules, coordinate trades, oversee safety, quality, and compliance, and work with Project Managers on changes and cost control. Strong leadership and read-prints skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of commercial construction superintendent or assistant superintendent experience.
• Experience on commercial, educational, multifamily, or industrial projects preferred.
• Ground-up construction experience including site work, concrete, and vertical construction.
• Strong ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP plans.
• Proven ability to manage multiple trades and maintain schedules on active jobsites.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Working knowledge of scheduling and project management software.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to jobsites throughout the region.

• Oversee all on-site construction activities from site work and foundations through punch list, turnover, and close-out.
• Develop, maintain, and drive project schedules, including three-week look-aheads, to keep work on time and within budget.
• Coordinate subcontractors, self-perform crews, vendors, and suppliers across multiple trades.
• Lead jobsite safety programs, conduct toolbox talks, and maintain OSHA compliance at all times.
• Enforce quality control standards and ensure work meets plans, specifications, and building codes.
• Schedule and attend inspections, and coordinate with local authorities, owners, architects, and engineers.
• Review drawings and specifications, identify conflicts, and support the RFI and submittal process.
• Manage material deliveries, equipment, and site logistics.
• Maintain daily logs, photos, and field reports, and communicate progress to project management and ownership.
• Partner with Project Managers on change orders, cost control, and owner coordination.
