Modigent is seeking a Superintendent - Fabrication to oversee both shop and field fabrication operations for sheet metal and piping on commercial projects nationwide.

You will lead fabrication teams, enforce safety, drive quality, and coordinate with project teams to ensure timely, accurate production of components for installations across our nationwide platforms.

Qualifications

7+ years in mechanical fabrication (sheet metal/piping) and 3+ years supervisory experience.
High school diploma or GED; trade certifications preferred.
Experience supervising fabrication shop and field crews, enforcing safety and quality standards.
Knowledge of blueprints/specifications and inventory management required.

Responsibilities

Supervise fabrication of ductwork, piping, supports, and custom components per blueprints/specs.
Manage shop workflow, material inventory, equipment maintenance, and crew assignments.
Enforce safety standards, quality checks, and lean fabrication practices.
Coordinate with project superintendents and field teams for just-in-time delivery.
Troubleshoot production issues and ensure compliance with codes/standards.
Train and mentor fabricators on techniques and safety.
Track productivity, waste reduction, and continuous improvement.
