Job summary

Qualifications

• 7+ years in mechanical fabrication (sheet metal/piping).
• 3+ years in supervisory roles.
• High school diploma or GED; trade certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise fabrication of ductwork, piping, supports, and custom components per blueprints/specs.
• Manage shop workflow, materials inventory, equipment maintenance, and crew assignments.
• Enforce safety standards, quality checks, and lean fabrication practices.
• Coordinate with project managers and field teams for on-time delivery.
• Troubleshoot production issues and ensure compliance with codes.
• Train and mentor fabricators on techniques and safety.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Yes – Lead fabrication shop teams and welders/fitters; manage performance, training, safety.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Experience: 7+ years in mechanical fabrication (sheet metal/piping), 3+ years supervisory.
• Education: High school/GED; trade certifications preferred.
• Physical Demands: Shop/field; heavy lifting, standing, tool use.
• Work Environment/Safety: Fabrication shop/construction sites; PPE/safety critical.
