About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee daily field operations for heavy civil, highway, and utility construction projects throughout New Jersey.

This role is responsible for leading field crews, coordinating labor and equipment, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring construction activities are performed safely, efficiently, and to established quality standards.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in heavy civil, highway, or utility construction, with the ability to lead crews and manage day-to-day field operations. Candidates with strong field experience who are ready to grow into a Superintendent role may also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Field Operations & Supervision

• Supervise daily construction activities and field crews.
• Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, and other jobsite resources.
• Provide direction to field personnel and maintain productivity.
• Monitor daily progress and address field issues promptly.
• Ensure work is performed according to project requirements and established schedules.

Scheduling & Coordination

• Monitor project schedules and daily production goals.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, and material requirements.
• Identify potential delays and communicate issues to project leadership.
• Coordinate work activities to maintain efficient jobsite operations.

Safety & Quality

• Promote and maintain a strong jobsite safety culture.
• Ensure crews follow company safety procedures and project requirements.
• Monitor construction quality and workmanship.
• Identify deficiencies and coordinate corrective actions.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment.

Self-Perform Construction

• Oversee self-performed construction activities and field productivity.

Requirements
