Black Rock Enterprises in New Jersey seeks an experienced Civil Construction Superintendent to lead field operations on industrial, government, and union projects. You will oversee daily site activities, manage crews and subcontractors, maintain schedules, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.

The ideal candidate has 7–10 years of civil construction experience, strong ability to read plans and grading, and proven leadership in safety-first environments.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience in civil construction, utilities, or sitework.
• Proven experience as a Superintendent or Senior Foreman on industrial or government projects.
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans, grades, and specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and construction management software.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Strong safety awareness and commitment to OSHA compliance.
• Experience working in a union environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily field operations for civil, utility, and industrial construction projects.
• Interpret and execute project plans, specifications, grades, and technical documents.
• Coordinate subcontractors, union labor crews, equipment, and materials.
• Develop and maintain project schedules in collaboration with Project Management.

• Monitor production, quality control, and cost efficiency.
• Utilize technology, project management software, and Excel to track progress and reporting.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and ownership.
