• 7+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial or residential construction.
• Experience overseeing ground-up multifamily residential projects.
• Experience delivering mid-rise and/or high-rise developments is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership, communication, scheduling, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.

About the Opportunity

A well-established, highly regarded general contractor is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on ground-up luxury multifamily residential developments throughout New Jersey. This is an opportunity to join a growing construction organization with a strong presence in the high-end residential market and a pipeline of significant projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record delivering ground-up multifamily developments, with the ability to take ownership of complex construction projects from initial mobilization through final completion and turnover.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all day-to-day field operations on ground-up luxury multifamily construction projects.
• Oversee project execution from site mobilization, excavation, foundations, and structure through interior finishes, commissioning, and final turnover.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and field personnel to maintain project schedules and quality standards.
• Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are consistently achieved.
• Work closely with Project Managers, ownership, architects, and engineers to resolve field issues and maintain project momentum.
• Enforce strict site safety standards, quality control procedures, and company policies.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and schedules to identify potential conflicts and proactively address issues.
• Conduct regular site meetings, inspections, and progress reviews.
• Maintain daily reports, track manpower, monitor material deliveries, and coordinate site logistics.
• Ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards of workmanship, safety, and overall execution.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a Superintendent within the commercial or residential construction industry.
• Proven experience overseeing ground-up multifamily residential construction projects.
• Experience delivering mid-rise and/or high-rise residential developments is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of all phases of construction, including foundations, concrete, structural steel, framing, MEP coordination, and interior finishes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain control of large, active construction sites.
• Strong leadership, communication, scheduling, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $150,000 - $195,000, commensurate with experience.
