Superintendent (Traveling)

About this role:

Our growth has enabled us to start this key role for ensuring success and safety in all of our projects. You will have overall insight into key metrics across projects, will execute productivity analysis, collaborate with client field teams, and more.

Location and Travel:

• This role can be located in Texas or in the Southeast US.
• Can live in any city and travel.

Travel:

• Ability to travel in Texas or the Southeast US and at times on short notice for extended periods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide supervision for all field activities, including assisting Field Managers in planning and executing scopes of work.
• Manage manpower resources and ensure compliance with all Knight Electric safety, quality, and productivity standards across projects.
• Perform plan reviews, provide feedback on constructability, offer ideas for value engineering, and assist with installation planning and layout.
• Engage internal teams to facilitate planning, design, and installation of prefabricated assemblies.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and assist project teams with material procurement, delivery schedules, and material staging plans.
• Collaborate with internal teams to establish initial project goals and monitor progress to ensure success.
• Perform productivity analyses across projects using Knight Electric Productive Jobsite Program tools.
• Assist project teams with building and maintaining CPM schedules and short-term look-ahead schedules, ensuring activities are completed within prescribed durations.
• Evaluate the performance of all field personnel, assess training needs, and ensure training objectives are met.
• Monitor man hours at the task level and guide Field Managers to complete scopes within budgeted hours.
• Collaborate with clients’ field leadership teams to ensure successful project execution and resolve project-specific challenges.
• Monitor overall company backlog and maintain appropriate workforce levels.

Position Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years in the electrical field
• Minimum 5 years in a Superintendent role
• Management of $10-20 million scopes of work
• OSHA 30 Certification
• NFPA 70E Certification
• Active Journeyman or Master State License

Compensation:

• Salary and bonus package between $135,000 and $150,000.
