Job summary

Ralph L. Wadsworth Construction in Texas seeks a Superintendent to lead high-profile underground and site development projects spanning highways, bridges, rail, and utilities.

You will enforce safety policies, plan inspections, coordinate crews, and ensure schedules meet specifications. This role requires a minimum of 5 years in underground/utilities work, strong blueprint-reading skills, and OSHA 30 certification.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of underground utilities and wet utilities (drainage, water and sewer)
• A minimum of 5 years of work experience and understanding of all phases of site development (dirt excavation work, underground utilities, grading, etc.)
• A minimum of 5 years of reading blueprints and specs for underground utilities
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in Water, Sanitary Sewer and storm distribution systems
• OSHA 30 certification preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Understand, enforce, and carry out Safety Policies.
• Create Job Hazard Analysis for assigned tasks and perform safety inspections.
• Schedule and document all required inspections, quality testing, or other compliance requirements.
• Comply with Dust Control, SWPPP, and environmental requirements.
• Schedule and order materials, inspections, equipment and workforce to meet project schedules and specs.
• Directly supervise jobsite crews to ensure workmanship conforms to specifications and schedules.
• Coordinate with personnel and subcontractors to plan and execute work and prevent delays.
• Manage day-to-day operations on the project and keep the project management team informed.

• Manage all day-to-day operations on the project and keep the project management team apprised.
