Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Superintendent for Chicagoland ComEd projects. The role leads field operations on power utility construction, overseeing substations, distribution, and associated electrical infrastructure.

You will manage crews, subcontractors, and field staff, ensuring safety, schedule, and budget adherence in a collaborative, safety‑driven environment. The ideal candidate has 5–10+ years in power utility construction, strong reading of blueprints, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of field experience in power utility or electrical infrastructure construction.
• Proven experience as a Superintendent or Foreman managing utility or heavy civil projects.
• Strong knowledge of substation construction, duct banks, trenching, directional boring, or high‑voltage systems.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Experience managing union and/or multi‑trade workforces preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• OSHA certification and other relevant safety training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily jobsite activities including scheduling, material delivery, equipment usage, and workforce planning.

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to resolve field issues and maintain progress.
• Maintain detailed daily reports, track production, and monitor productivity and quality of work.
• Oversee quality control and ensure installations meet required standards.

• Supervise crews, subcontractors, and field personnel to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and within budget
• Coordinate daily jobsite activities including scheduling, material delivery, equipment usage, and workforce planning
• Enforce safety protocols, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure compliance with all OSHA and company safety standards
• Review project plans, specifications, and permits to ensure accurate execution of work
