Job summary

A construction company is seeking a professional with at least 5-7 years of experience in heavy/highway/bridge construction. The successful candidate will oversee and schedule bridge foremen, assist estimators and engineers, and ensure all construction activities comply with contract specifications and safety regulations. Strong verbal communication and problem-solving skills are essential. This role supports various construction activities and requires knowledge of FDOT contracts and proper rigging techniques.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 - 7 years of bridge experience in Heavy/Highway/Bridge construction.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including strong verbal and written communication.
• Must possess knowledge of FDOT contracts, specifications, and reports.

Responsibilities

• Manage and schedule bridge foremen and subcontractors
• Assist estimators and engineers with quantities and productions
• Manage all the construction activities of the project in accordance with contract specifications and drawings and in full compliance with applicable safety and environmental regulations
• Execute construction activities in compliance with the applicable schedule and budget
• Review project performance on a continuing basis and recommend to project manager corrective actions as required
• Implement the Company policies and procedures as required
• Assist with On-the-Job Training

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 5 - 7 years of bridge experience in Heavy/Highway/Bridge construction
• Excellent interpersonal skills to include strong verbal and written communication
• Must possess knowledge of FDOT contracts, specifications, and reports
• Must be able to think independently and solve problems effectively
• Must be able to interpret crane load charts
• Must be able to erect/set grade for bridge deck screed
• Must possess knowledge of proper crane hand signals and proper rigging techniques
• Must have an excellent driving record
