Job summary

Jobot in Minnesota is seeking a seasoned Construction Superintendent to lead ground-up commercial and industrial projects. You will oversee project teams, liaise with clients, architects, and city officials, and manage safety and quality on-site.

The role requires at least 5 years of GC experience, 3 years as a superintendent, and strong knowledge of trades. The company offers competitive base salary, annual bonus, healthcare, 401K, PTO, and a vehicle allowance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma; additional experience a plus.
• 5+ years commercial construction experience with a General Contractor.
• Minimum 3 years as a Superintendent supervising project teams.
• Experience with ground-up commercial and industrial projects preferred.
• Knowledge of trades scope of work.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling software (MS Project).

Responsibilities

• Maintain positive relationships with clients, architects, subcontractors and city officials.
• Develop relationships to enable future growth.
• Primary on-site contact with city/state officials, inspectors and reps.
• Train and support local subcontractors in quality best practices.
• Coordinate site plans with on-site team before key milestones.
• Lead safety meetings and maintain a safe work environment.
• Enforce jobsite safety standards.
• Monitor day-to-day operations and project Critical Path.
• Collaborate with project team on overall schedule.
• Manage resources: labor, equipment, materials and subcontractors.
• Oversee SWPPP, Insurance and OSHA on-site requirements.

Responsibilities

• Continuously maintain a positive working relationship with clients, architects, subcontractors, city officials and neighboring businesses
• Develop lasting relationships with clients, architects and vendors that enable future planning and supports continuous growth
• Primary point of contact at the jobsite to work directly with City, State and Government officials, inspectors, and representatives
• Provide training and support to local subcontractors in Multifamily quality best practices
• Coordinate site expectations/plans with on-site support team prior to home weekends
• Ensure a healthy and safe work environment: actively participate and lead safety meetings and successfully complete annual safety training
• Authority to enforce jobsite safety
• Maintain a keen eye on day-to-day project operations while focusing on the projects’ Critical Path
• Work directly with the project team on overall job schedule
• Fiscally responsible to efficiently utilize labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and other related resources.
• Authority to manage on site requirements for SWPPP, Insurance, and OSHA programs

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (any additional experience a plus)
• 5+ years of commercial construction experience at a General Contractor

• Prior experience with ground-up commercial and industrial projects (retail, office, manufacturing, industrial, medical, and commercial tenant improvement project experience strongly preferred)
• Has knowledge and experience with all trades scope of work
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Scheduling Software (MS Project), and other project management software
