Job summary

Elsdon Group in Wisconsin is seeking an experienced Project Superintendent with a strong background in water and wastewater treatment plant construction to oversee field operations, manage self-perform crews and subcontractors, and deliver projects on schedule and within budget.

You will lead safety programs, ensure quality standards, coordinate permits and inspections, review plans, track costs, and participate in workforce planning to ensure successful project closeout.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Superintendent on water or wastewater treatment plant construction projects.
• Experience managing multi-million-dollar construction projects.
• Strong leadership and supervisory experience managing field personnel and subcontractors.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise field operations on water and wastewater treatment plant construction projects.
• Manage self-perform crews including concrete, mechanical, and yard piping teams.
• Maintain a safe working environment and enforce all company safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure all work meets or exceeds project quality standards and specifications.
• Develop and manage short-term construction schedules, manpower planning, and equipment allocation.
• Coordinate permit requirements and regulatory inspections.
• Maintain accurate field documentation, including daily reports and project records.
• Monitor project progress through regular reporting and photographic documentation.
• Oversee material receiving, inventory management, storage, and spare parts control.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractor activities to ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Participate in field hiring and workforce planning as required.
• Manage as-built drawings and ensure accurate project closeout documentation.
• Conduct post-construction reviews and lessons learned meetings.
• Oversee small tools, equipment, and jobsite assets.
• Review and interpret contract documents, plans, and specifications.
• Maintain jobsite security and organization.
• Ensure successful project completion within established schedules and budgets.
• Track production quantities, labor hours, and project costs accurately.
• Identify scope changes and communicate impacts to the Project Manager promptly.
