Job summary

Executive Alliance in Newburgh, NY seeks a seasoned Construction Superintendent to oversee large-scale commercial and multifamily renovations, including occupied spaces. You will coordinate field teams, schedule work, and ensure quality and safety on site.

Requires 5+ years leading projects, experience with $10M+ scopes, strong subcontractor management, and proficiency with Procore, Primavera P6 or MS Project. Competitive compensation and benefits based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise daily on-site construction activities for commercial and multifamily projects.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and multiple trades to ensure work is completed according to project plans and schedules.
• Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules while identifying potential delays and implementing corrective actions.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality, workmanship, and compliance with plans, specifications, and building codes.
• Enforce site safety policies and OSHA requirements, including conducting safety meetings and addressing unsafe conditions.
• Coordinate inspections, deliveries, site logistics, and communication between the field team, project management, architects, engineers, and owners.

Brief Description

Our client is a privately owned Construction Firm with 60 years of experience with a portfolio that includes Affordable Housing, Academics, Municipal and Private Development. They are seeking Superintendent & Senior Superintendents that will oversee the day-to-day operations of large-scale commercial and multifamily construction projects, particularly in occupied spaces for renovations and fit-outs. The ideal candidate has proven experience managing commercial and/or multi-family construction projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise daily on-site construction activities for commercial and multifamily projects.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and multiple trades to ensure work is completed according to project plans and schedules.
• Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules while identifying potential delays and implementing corrective actions.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality, workmanship, and compliance with plans, specifications, and building codes.
• Enforce site safety policies and OSHA requirements, including conducting safety meetings and addressing unsafe conditions.
• Coordinate inspections, deliveries, site logistics, and communication between the field team, project management, architects, engineers, and owners.
• Review construction documents, drawings, and specifications and identify and resolve field conflicts or construction issues.
• Track project progress, maintain daily reports, document site conditions, and communicate project updates to the project management team.

Job Requirement

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar field leadership role.
• Proven experience managing commercial and/or multifamily construction projects.
• Proven experience managing renovations in occupied spaces.
• Experience on projects valued $10 million or higher.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, sequencing, and building codes.
• Strong subcontractor management and coordination skills.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction site safety practices.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively lead field personnel in a fast-paced construction environment.

Preferred: OSHA 30 certification and experience with construction management/scheduling software such as Procore, Autodesk, Primavera P6, or Microsoft Project.

Compensation will depend on overall experience with a range from $95-130K plus benefits, PTO, etc.
